Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MD2Card collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use Markdown card generation, document saving, account login, API access, and the theme marketplace.
Information We Collect
When you register, sign in, or use account features, we may collect your email address, name, avatar, login method, email verification status, invite relationship, credit balance, and account security records.
When you use the editor, document saving, image uploads, card previews, exports, API calls, theme purchases, or payment features, we may process Markdown content, generated results, uploaded images, API logs, order records, payment status, and technical logs that are necessary to operate the service.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide account registration and login, email verification, document saving, card generation, image processing, API authentication and billing, theme purchases, order processing, support, security checks, troubleshooting, and service improvement. Unless you authorize it or applicable law requires it, we do not use your content for purposes unrelated to providing the service.
Documents, Images, and User Content
You retain your rights to the Markdown documents, images, and generated content you submit. To provide saving, preview, export, sync, and recovery features, MD2Card needs to store, process, and display that content within a reasonable scope.
Images uploaded by users who are not signed in are generally stored temporarily and may expire or be deleted after a period of time. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of any original images, Markdown documents, and generated results that you need to retain. Do not upload illegal, infringing, confidential, or unsuitable content.
Sensitive Information Notice
Do not submit ID numbers, bank card numbers, detailed addresses, phone numbers, medical records, information about minors, trade secrets, non-public contracts, or other sensitive information in Markdown documents, uploaded images, prompts, API requests, or generated content. You are responsible for leaks, losses, or disputes caused by sensitive information that you submit, save, export, publish, or share.
Cookies, Analytics, and Logs
We may use cookies, local storage, access logs, and third-party analytics to maintain login sessions, remember interface preferences, measure usage, diagnose errors, and improve service reliability. You can restrict cookies in your browser, but some account and editor features may stop working correctly.
Third-Party Services
To provide the full service, we may use third-party providers for email delivery, OAuth login, payments, object storage, image processing, analytics, and advertising. These providers process necessary information under their own privacy policies, and we aim to share only what is needed for the relevant feature.
Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. Images uploaded by users who are not signed in are generally stored as temporary files. Documents, images, orders, credits, API logs, and security records of registered users are retained as needed for service operation, security audits, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
After you delete content or close an account, some order, transaction, log, security, and compliance records may continue to be retained for a period permitted or required by law. No internet service can be absolutely secure, so please protect your account, password, and API keys and contact us if you notice unusual activity.
Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, account closure, or restriction of certain processing as permitted by applicable law. To protect your account, we may verify your identity before handling a request.
Children
If you are a minor, use the service only with consent and guidance from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if such information is submitted improperly, we will take reasonable action after verification.
Updates and Contact
We may update this policy due to service, legal, or compliance requirements. Material changes will be reflected on this page or announced through reasonable means. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
